30 Wanaka Sections Sold In One Day

A sale of Wanaka sections held on Saturday at Peninsula Bay and Riverside Park resulted in 30 sections being sold on the day with a combined turnover of $7.5 million.

Property developer, Infinity Investment Group, offered 15 sections for sale on 23rd January at each of its two community developments in Wanaka.

The sales process allowed non‐binding options to be placed on the sections up to a month beforehand with a cashback prize draw held on the day where option holders could win between $60,000 and $30,000 off the price of their section.

The sale at Peninsula Bay was held at 10am with the Riverside Park sale at 2pm. Around 300 people attended the two sales.

Bob Robertson, managing director of Infinity Investment Group, said he was delighted with the result.

"We knew before the sale that interest was returning to the market because the options were taken up quite quickly. But as the options are non‐binding, you never really know till sales day whether that interest will translate into buyers. We're delighted that we've met our targets," Bob Robertson said.

"Looks like the end of the recession. Demand has clearly returned to the market and now we're moving onto the next stages in both our Wanaka developments with new sections and some exciting new house and land packages to be released to the market very soon," Bob Robertson said.
