Nespresso teams up with Eden Park Trust

The perfect Nespresso moment is about to get even better for rugby aficionados visiting New Zealand’s national stadium, with Nespresso’s high-quality coffee now offered at Eden Park.

Nespresso today announced the partnership which will see its coffee available to the throngs of fans, athletes and international guests who visit the iconic Auckland arena each year.

Nespresso New Zealand’s Country Manager John Ciaglia says, "The partnership is an exciting one for Nespresso and we are happy that visitors to Eden Park will be able to enjoy a consistent and high-quality cup of coffee each time they visit."

Eden Park Trust Chief Executive Nick Sautner says the partnership is an example of yet another great match for Auckland’s iconic arena.

"Nespresso is a global brand and Eden Park is a globally revered venue for fans and athletes alike," he says.

The partnership is a sustainable solution for Eden Park Trust thanks to Nespresso’s dedicated recycling initiatives, which make it easy to recycle the used aluminium coffee capsules and residual coffee.

The Nespresso Professional system also ensures precise consumption, meaning there is no wastage - an important factor when coffees are being served at high volumes.

The stadium will feature Nespresso’s innovative touch button solution - the Aguila 420- which boasts four extraction heads and state of the art technology to deliver consistent quality milk, cup after cup.

The Aguila 420 is one of three machines in Nespresso’s Professional range, designed to withstand the high volume demands of a venue of Eden Park’s size.

Eden Park hosts more than 1,000 corporate functions every year as well as close to 2,000 people on behind the scene tours of the stadium, the majority of whom are from overseas.

Sautner says it is a global audience who will be among the first to benefit from the partnership with Nespresso.

"Our daily tours at New Zealand’s national stadium attract visitors from across the globe, including fans from the U.K., France, India and even the Cayman Islands.
