Today Datacom marked Pink Shirt Day in its nine offices across New Zealand by handing out 3300 of the classic Pinky Bars, part of the last batch in New Zealand. Staff in every office dressed in pink and received cards that highlighted communicating in respectful ways.

Datacom is fully supporting Pink Shirt Day across the country to help create schools, workplaces and communities where all people feel safe, valued and respected.

"As New Zealand’s largest tech employer, we wanted to show our support of Pink Shirt Day," Greg Davidson, Group CEO said.

"Today we reached out to our entire New Zealand workforce to encourage them to speak up, and stand together, to help stop bullying and to spread kindness. As we know, people who are bullied may be more likely to experience mental health issues, such as depression or anxiety. So we were really pleased to see such a show of support from across our business today."
