Property Council New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty Branch is delighted to open nominations for the annual Bay of Plenty Property People Awards.

For the second time in the region, property professionals, developers, investors, managers and enthusiasts will be nominated and recognised for their contribution to the industry and the local economy.

Branch President Brooke Courtney says the awards have been developed to recognise industry up-and-comers as well as local leaders who have paved the way and whose vision will shape the region’s cities and towns for future generations.

"Property Council Bay of Plenty is a very active, engaged supporter of our region. Our local members invest time, money and expertise to build a region we all want to live, work and play in. We are not just a network of people; we are a community."

"It is only fitting that we take a moment to celebrate the people that make this community of ours great. The leaders, the up-and-coming achievers and all those tall-poppies in between."

The awards recognise seven award categories and one supreme winner:

- Harrison Grierson Young Achiever of the Year Award

- Sharp Tudhope Lawyers Urban Design and Architectural Award

- Greenstone Group Best Team Award

- Colliers International Women in Property Award

- Carrus Outstanding Leadership Award

- Hawkins Long Service Award

- Bayleys Judges’ Choice Award

- Bank of New Zealand Supreme Excellence Award

Last year’s Property Council Bay of Plenty Bank of New Zealand Supreme Excellence Award Winner was the Te Puia Project Team, with the project cited by the judges as "an exemplary example of community and property coming together to create a shining beacon for the people of Rotorua".

Property professionals from throughout the region are invited to submit their nominations by Monday 5 August 2019. The Property Council New Zealand Bay of Plenty Property People Awards will be held on 19 September at Mills Reef Winery in Tauranga.
