ASB Drives Through Expansion In Palmerston North

21 November 2008 - ASB's success continues to go from strength to strength with the Bank now opening its second Palmerston North branch on Broadway Ave, Terrace End on Monday 24 November. The Terrace End branch will ensure that the special ASB service is available at both ends of the town.

The new branch boasts all the new features the Bank has been developing including drive-through banking so no matter what the weather, customers don't have to leave their cars to do their banking. The branch also has a 24/7 self-service lobby so customers will be able to bank when it suits their schedule. Other branch features include FastCount, a time-saving coin-counting machine, particularly useful for the small business market, FastChange, a coin change machine, FastDeposit where customers can deposit funds, full ATM facilities and more.

"As a Bank, we're well known as the first in Australasia to offer internet banking and we continue to push the boundaries to provide great customer friendly technology," says Barry Coffey, Regional Manager - Lower North Island Region. "But sometimes you just want to sit down and have a chat. If we don't have the specialist staff you need on site, you will be able to access them through video conferencing. The services offered now include specialist investment and insurance advice and in the future this will extend to even cover forward foreign exchange requirements - face to face with ASB specialists throughout the country."

The branch will be managed by Bill Bailey and is supported by 4 other staff. Business hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 4.30pm; then out of hours customers will be supported by the technology services and drive-through options available at ASB Terrace End.

"Our customers expect one step ahead service and now they can experience it in two locations within Palmerston North. The second branch opening is a reflection of the ever increasing support we receive from the Palmerston North public."
