Following a stellar 2009, Saint Clair Family Estate is once again celebrating top honours with its Sauvignon Blanc 2009 - judged best white wine at the Indian Wine Challenge Show. 218 wines were submitted for the 3-day taste expo held in Mumbai from 28-30 January. World-renowned wine expert, Robert Joseph chaired the competition. Vishal Kadakia, owner of The Wine Park, who distributes Saint Clair in India says, "I am thrilled with the result and am pleased to have participated with Saint Clair in this great achievement." 2010 is shaping up to be a busy year for the Marlborough vineyard also winning first place in Germanyʼs business wine magazine, Weinwirtschaft for best ʻAll New World (outside of Europe) White Wineʼ with Saint Clair Sauvignon Blanc 2008. The Sauvignon Blanc proves to be a popular drop, with German Airline, Lufthansa just announcing that Saint Clairʼs Pioneer Block 19 Bird Block Sauvignon Blanc 2009 has won the tender for Sauvignon Blanc in First Class.
