With the end of daylight savings for another summer, a nip is in the air and wintry weather is no longer a distant prospect. The team at Bayfair Shopping Centre know how enticing a new winter wardrobe is, but sometimes it can be difficult to find that perfect fit or the right colours for the season. To eliminate those fashion woes, the centre has enlisted local fashion stylist and director of Image & Beauty Tina Neville to help get shoppers on the right track.

Tina will be at Bayfair Shopping Centre on Sunday 18 April and Sunday 25 April to host two fashion workshops each day. The free one-hour workshops will focus on fashion tips, understanding your body shape and suggestions of how to dress it, and ways to introduce accessories.

“Coming along to the workshops will help people get a real sense of dressing their body and how to do it more effectively,” says Tina. “Our approach is about learning and understanding what is suitable for you, not about what you are doing wrong. The sessions will also act as a shopping guide, with suggestions of what to look for in particular stores at Bayfair.”

Tina is one of the region’s top fashion stylists, helping men and women of all ages to look and feel great and is a makeup artist for ACP Magazines in the region.

On fashion tips for the season, Tina suggests colours, textures, embellishments and French chic when wanting to make a statement. “The colours coming through this season are plums, chocolate browns, greens and electric blue. There are a lot of sequins and studs – a 80s punk-rock look – and an Audrey Hepburn-inspired style including ballet flats, clean lines and simple styling.”

Bayfair Shopping Centre Marketing Manager Nina Rivett says the team has put considerable thought into how to enhance shoppers’ experience during the colder months. “Winter can be tough for most of us, and we have developed the workshops with Tina to help our customers get through the season while having a little fun along the way. Our convenient and extensive retail offer caters for all ages and budgets”

A lucky customer will also find that a wee spend-up has benefits that will last until next season. Simply spend $75 on fashion or health and beauty products in a single transaction at participating retailers before 9 May 2010 and go into the draw to win a day of indulgence for you and a friend! This prize package includes a beauty makeover at The Body Shop, Bayfair for two, a hair styling session at Rodney Wayne, Bayfair for two, lunch for two at Imbibe Restaurant & Bar, personal shopping time in the centre with Tina Neville and $500 worth of Bayfair gift vouchers.
