Wellington City Council is seeking applications for the next round of the Creative Communities NZ Wellington Local Funding Scheme which closes on Friday 26 February.
The scheme is a partnership between the Council and Creative New Zealand. Every year Creative New Zealand provides money to councils to increase the range and diversity of arts available to our communities and to support local projects that increase participation in the arts.
Various types of projects are considered including workshops, performances, short-term arts events, artist-in-residence schemes and arts-related promotional activities. To be eligible for funding, projects must take place within the Wellington City ratepaying area.
There is just over $68,000 of funding available for the next round - which is for projects starting after 23 April. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 26 February.
