Fletcher Building's chief executive Jonathan Ling has today announced that it has pledged a $1 million contribution to support those who have suffered loss from the Christchurch earthquake, and to assist in the recovery efforts.

At this stage the company is working through the most appropriate way for this support to be delivered.

Fletcher Building has a number of businesses operating in the Christchurch region, but all have escaped without significant damage or injury to employees. All businesses are expected to be fully operational in the next few days.
