Coca-Cola Amatil New Zealand (CCANZ) is proudly recognising key staff at their Long Service Awards which acknowledge those team members who have been with the company from five to 40+ years.

The CCANZ Long Service Awards are celebrated biennially and long service employees of all ages, professions and backgrounds receive a gold plated Coke bottle , as well as a gift, and are also treated to an all expenses paid team celebration at the Great Room at the Langham.

More than 440 people from Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Christchurch and Putaruru are joining together to celebrate the outstanding service of 226 CCANZ employees. The awards acknowledge 5-year increments of service ranging from 5 years to 40+ years.

This year, the longest-serving team member is Phil Taylor who celebrates his 41st year having started with CCANZ in 1973 as a Delivery Driver. It’s an extraordinary achievement. The total combined service of those being celebrated amounts to a whopping 2,281years!

"It’s a great evening, everyone gets dressed up and enjoys themselves and it’s a bit like the Oscars of the Coke world!" said General Manager of HR, Martin King. "It’s a big achievement to be celebrating so many lengthy anniversaries and we are extremely proud of each person receiving their Golden Bottle. We work really hard to be one of the most valued workplaces in New Zealand and the fact that so many employees stay with us for so long is testament to that."

Aaron Corley, National Technical Manager who has been with CCANZ for 20 years believes such numbers are due to the passionate culture at CCANZ "Everyone is on one team working towards the same goal. It’s just such a great place to work; they make it easy to stay!" and Aaron’s not the only one who thinks so. CCANZ were last month awarded ‘2nd Most Attractive Employer’ at the Ranstad awards. Martin confirms the company’s now aiming for number one position.

The theme for the evening is Creating Memories, Happiness and Possibilities which reflect the company’s vision. Guests at the ceremony are set to enjoy everything from a magician and old Coca-Cola tunes, to a unique photo booth and a performance from 2014 Coca-Cola Amatil Young New Zealander of the Year, Parris Goebel’s Palace Dance Troupe.
