7 October 2008 - The Interface Financial Group, New Zealand's largest alternative funding source for small businesses has welcomed its latest franchisee, Maxwells Dry Cleaning founder Laurie Lowther, to its network.
Interface specialises in invoice financing (often called invoice discounting) to small companies. Laurie, who took on the South East Auckland branch of Interface in June 2008, has an extensive business background. Originally a computer technical specialist, Laurie went on to found successful drycleaning chain, Maxwells, and a yacht leasing business.
'I've joined Interface because I was impressed with the product and had could see how successful other franchise holders had become,' explains Laurie. 'The business really suits my personality and my lifestyle. I enjoy seeing how invoice discounting benefits a wide variety of different people and I appreciate the freedom that having my own business brings.'
Laurie is confident that Interface will continue to expand and sees his own involvement lasting long into the future.
'There has been a huge amount of interest in my Interface franchise since I took it on four months ago and the number and quality of referrals from trading banks has been absolutely astonishing,' says Laurie. 'Interface has huge growth prospects in New Zealand. The opportunities for franchisees are endless.'
