The board of the Hospitality Standards Institute (HSI) has appointed Ken Harris, of Harris Management Solutions, as its new Chief Executive. He replaces Steve Hanrahan, who has decided, after 14 years with HSI, to seek a new career challenge.
HSI Chair Carol Stigley said "We are delighted to have access to Ken's experience, expertise and leadership, built up through his management consultancy work in the private and public sectors over twenty years."
Ken's experience covers financial services, industry and business associations, business and professional services, tertiary and vocational training, and central and local government. Previous work includes strategic, organisational and business development work with the New Zealand Transport Agency, PrintNZ, ITO cluster groups, AXA, NZ Racing Board, and AMP New Zealand.
He takes up his role with HSI on 12 December, for a fixed term.
