New technology launched by Global Intelligence Solutions (GIS) in New Zealand means significantly increased security for ports, airports and critical infrastructure locations. SabraFenceTM is a sophisticated technology to detect intrusions to prohibited areas and also detects fires, allowing an early warning for vulnerable sites.

Auckland 19 March, 2010 Today, Global Intelligence Solutions (GIS) announces the release of SabraFenceTM in New Zealand. This new system is the world's first multi-sensor technology, adding a greatly increased level of security to sensitive locations around New Zealand. This new technology allows organisations to receive immediate alarms when a breach has occurred and, unlike existing technology, pinpoints the location of a breach to within 3 metres. Not only does it detect vibrations, but each sensor can detect rapid changes in heat making it a useful tool for detecting fires, providing early fire warning to businesses at adjacent facilities. "SabraFenceTM provides unparalleled levels of detection and peace of mind," said Dave Ashton, Director of Operations at GIS. "Rapidly deployable, it can be used for temporary or permanent sites and requires no ongoing maintenance. SabraFenceTM is fully recoverable and able to be redeployed rapidly. It is a truly remarkable product with masses of applications". SabraFenceTM requires no extra fencing and works on existing perimeters such as chain fences, walls or a combination of fence styles. Each sensor can be independently calibrated to react differently depending on the surface it is mounted to, so it eliminates the 'false positive' alerts. Linking it to an alarm system at a remote site, the system can be linked to a GPRS system to alert via SMS to security managers. It can also be set to switch on a CCTV system or Security light once a breach has been detected. As well as detecting vibration and heat, each sensor can also be set to magnetic so it can be used for a guard tour detection device. Each activation is logged via the provided software and a full audit can be provided for review.
