4 AUGUST 2008 - The Oaks Business Park is a new light industrial development being established in the south-west of Richmond, adjacent to Nelson City.

Lower Queen Street has been identified as a prime growth area for Nelson and Richmond, by leading New Zealand environmental, planning and design consultants, Boffa Miskell Ltd. The consultants were commissioned by the Nelson and Richmond District Councils to undertake 20-year development studies for both urban areas.

``In their report, Boffa Miskell identified this as the first major growth area in the region,'' agent Robert Williams of Commercial and Industrial Real Estate MREINZ who is acting for the developers says. ``It really is quite unique. The Oaks is actually very different from many industrial parks. The site itself is bordered on two sides by reserves. The developers have planned to enhance the park with extensive landscaping, including water features and gardens and by retaining the magnificent oaks, they are aiming at creating a green, ambient setting quite unlike most other light industrial parks in the country.''

Robert believes that the business park represents the perfect opportunity for investors, manufacturers and businesses to establish a commercial operation in one of the country's most progressive and popular growth regions and in a totally unique environment.

``The Oaks offers clients a wide range of sites and options,'' Robert explains. ``There are 25-sites available, ranging from 1012m2 to 5670m2. I must warn anyone thinking of investing that there is definitely no stage-two release planned. This is a one-off opportunity only. There are design-build options available and excellent financial packages. All amenities and landscaping will be included.''

Situated close to Nelson airport, the Port of Nelson and Nelson City, with excellent major road access, The Oaks Business Park is set to capitalise on this popular area's rapid current and projected growth.
