Only Organic Appoints Nutritionist Spokesperson Kristen Beck

Only Organic is proud to announce the appointment of Kristen Beck as the company’s nutritionist spokesperson. The creation of this role, in which Kristen will provide useful tips and advice to the parents of young children, follows five years’ growth of the organic baby food brand.

Kristen, a mother of three young children, has extensive knowledge and experience from more than 11 years’ practice and lecturing in nutrition. Only Organic will use her expertise and advice for the benefit of Australian and New Zealand parents, by giving Kristen a platform with which to offer guidance on achieving optimal health and nutrition in the early stages of life.

Kristen’s role will include her presence on the Only Organic website, where she will provide commentary on topical child nutrition issues. In the marketplace, she will be the face of an upcoming advertising campaign and will provide tips and information about Only Organic products.

“I have always been conscious of the importance of nutrition during early childhood,” Kristen says, “but it wasn’t until I had children of my own that I truly understood the importance parents place on the health and nutrition of babies and toddlers. That’s why I am excited to be working with Only Organic. Their baby foods are completely natural, have a distinctive homemade texture and are full of wholesome organic fruits, vegetables, meats and cereals, which offers invaluable convenience to even the most health-conscious parent.”

Only Organic General Manager Muir McCallum says Kristen’s appointment is an exciting step for Only Organic. “The team is energized – we expect the outcome of aligning Kristen’s knowledge and experience with the Only Organic brand to be a highly positive one.”

Only Organic’s range of products is designed to be an easy choice for parents concerned about the issues surrounding early childhood health and nutrition. All products are produced from certified organic ingredients and contain no chemical residues or pesticides, no artificial flavours or colours, no preservatives, no added sugar or salt and no thickening agents. Many products are free of dairy, egg, gluten and wheat.

The range includes four stages: pureed Stage 1 from four-six months of age and up; mashed Stage 2 for six months and up and Stage 3 for nine months and up; and chunky Stage 4 for 12 months and up. Each stage has a variety of tasty, nutritious fruit and vegetable meal options, all in convenient glass jars.

The latest additions to the product range, for babies in Stage 1, are Only Organic first cereal Wholegrain Baby Rice and Baby Rice with Banana. Kristen says, “Rice cereal is the best first solid food for babies because it is the least likely to cause allergies. Only Organic’s new first cereal Wholegrain Baby Rice is different from other rice cereals in that it uses premium organic wholegrain rice, which is ground ultra-fine. The inclusion of wholegrain rice means that more of the nutritional value, vitamins and minerals are retained. It also includes thiamin (Vitamin B1), an essential nutrient for growing babies. And when your baby is ready for a new flavour, try Baby Rice with Banana.”
