13 October 2008 - PGG Wrightson has today confirmed that it will adopt its parent company brand across its livestock and rural supplies operations in the Lower North Island, replacing the Williams & Kettle brand.

The Managing Director of PGG Wrightson, Tim Miles, said the change reflected the group's commitment to create the best possible platform for meeting client needs throughout New Zealand.

"Our clients have told us they want the company to deliver real value by being focused on their businesses and being a strong and committed partner. We believe we can do this best in the core livestock and rural supplies operations by trading under a unified PGG Wrightson brand nationwide," Mr Miles said.

The change follows client feedback received through formal research and day-to-day interaction with the company's rural services representatives. "The clear message is that our clients see PGG Wrightson as having the capability to provide the leadership, support and innovation they are seeking," Mr Miles said. "They want us to focus on building this capability. The move to a single brand in livestock and rural supplies is part of the building process."

The adoption of the PGG Wrightson brand on rural stores and other buildings, vehicles, staff uniforms will occur progressively starting with uniforms and vehicles. The move will have no impact on commercial terms or arrangements between the company and clients.

The specialist horticulture-based business Fruitfed Supplies would be excluded from the change, Mr Miles said.
