AMP Limited today announced the sale price for AMP shares sold through the AMP Share Sale Facility.

Eligible shareholders who sold their AMP shares through the brokerage-free facility will receive a price of A$6.3261 per share. This price is equal to the volume weighted average price per share of all AMP shares sold through the Share Sale Facility on the Australian Securities Exchange during the sale period of 9 November to 27 November 2009.

More than 20,000 AMP shareholders from Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom took advantage of the Share Sale Facility. In total, over 4.7 million shares were sold.

AMP offered 420,000 eligible shareholders access to the Share Sale Facility in response to requests from shareholders on how to sell small parcels without incurring brokerage fees.

Eligible shareholders whose shares were sold through the Share Sale Facility will receive their sale proceeds by 14 December 2009.
