Thomson Reuters Announces Appointment Of NZ Country Manager

7 October 2008 - Thomson Reuters has announced the appointment of Haydn Davies as Country Manager for its New Zealand legal and regulatory business.

As Country Manager, New Zealand, Mr Davies assumes overall management of Brookers, a long-established provider of legal, tax and accounting information and a Thomson Reuters company. He will be based in Wellington and reports to Tony Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Reuter's Australasian Legal, Tax and Accounting business.

Mr Davies joined Brookers in 2000 and for the last four years has held the role of General Manager, Online and Product Development. Before starting with Brookers, he worked for LexisNexis in London for 11 years, with various sales and account management roles. He also holds an Honours degree in Law.

Tony Kinnear said that in his time at Brookers, Mr Davies had been a driving force in transforming the New Zealand online information business which has delivered outstanding revenue growth in recent years.

``Haydn also brings to the role a high degree of passion for the publishing business and the people that make it happen day-to-day,'' he said. ``He also has a strong commitment to engaging with customers in order to maintain and enhance the market leadership position that Brookers enjoys in New Zealand.''

Mr Davies succeeds Neil Story at Brookers. Mr Story has relocated to Copenhagen in Denmark to head up Thomson Reuters' Scandanavian legal and regulatory businesses.
