Top NZ Chefs And Food Writers Nominated For Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards

MasterChef NZ judge, chef, restaurateur and food writer, Simon Gault, and New Zealand's Hottest Home Baker judge, high-profile baker and food writer, Dean Brettschneider, have been nominated for the 2010 Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards, in the category Best Soft Cover Recipe Book.

The nominated books are Simon Gault's Nourish (RRP: $49.99) and Dean Brettschneider's, Global Baker (RRP: $44.99), both published by Random House New Zealand (RHNZ); they join a line-up of nominees from around the world, including the UK, Cambodia, South Africa and Australia.

These nominations by members of a jury of more than 50 eminent industry professionals from around the world represents the belief that Gault and Brettschneider's entries are among the highest achievements in their field during the past 2 and a half years.

Margaret Sinclair, Publisher Business Partnerships RHNZ, said: "I am absolutely thrilled that two of our star food writers have been recognised by their peers in this way and nominated for this internationally recognised food award."

The full list of nominees can be viewed at the World Food Media Awards website: www.worldfoodmediaawards.com.

The nominations will be acknowledged at the Awards Presentation on Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Intercontinental Adelaide, South Australia, where a Gold Ladle will be presented from among nominees.
