* Prices are little changed. The REINZ Stratified House Price Index (HPI) was flat when seasonally adjusted (unadjusted +0.3%).

Residential Property Sales Still Subdued

Residential property sales are continuing at the subdued level seen since June with the 4287 dwelling sales in August down on the 4411 in July, according to figures released today by the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ).

Core Retail Sales Flat In July

Seasonally adjusted core retail sales (which exclude the four vehicle-related industries) were flat in July 2010, down just 0.1 percent ($3 million), Statistics New Zealand said today. This follows a 1.5 percent increase in June 2010.
