Wellington, Feb 20 NZPA - Police investigating the homicide of an elderly Christchurch woman say she was killed with a weapon, possibly while disturbing a burglary at her home.

Christchurch Police are seeking the whereabouts of a motor vehicle in connection with the homicide investigation launched in the city today.

Police are trying to find out the identity of a cyclist who was seriously injured in a road crash last night (Monday, 8 February), and locate witnesses who saw the car that collided with him.
