The CTU has welcomed the decision of the Combined Unions to ratify the settlement of their collective agreement with NZ Bus.

Wellington, Oct 19 NZPA - Bus drivers are arguably underpaid when compared to similar occupations, but now is not the time to address long-standing deficiency issues, says the Employment Relations Authority (ERA).

Auckland bus drivers came up with a constructive compromise to get the buses running at a mass meeting this morning.

More than 1000 Auckland bus workers meeting in Auckland today have rejected a new pay offer from bus operator NZ Bus.

NZ Bus CEO Bruce Emson gave his company's endorsement to Wellington International Airport's vision for the future as outlined in its draft 2030 Master Plan made public today.

"Wellington International Airport is a vital gateway into the Wellington region," says Mr Emson.

Bus announced today it has reached an agreement to sell Fullers Group Limited, the Auckland based ferry operator to Souter Holdings Limited.

The agreed purchase price for the ferry business is NZ$40 million.
