"New Zealand must do more to prevent violence against women", says Rae Julian, National President of UNIFEM NZ, in a statement to mark White Ribbon Day, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The Families Commission is supporting Judge Boshier's call for a radical re-think of support for families through separation.

White Ribbon Day, 25 November, is the international day when people wear a white ribbon to show that they do not condone violence towards women.
