Wellington Police have arrested more than 50 people over the past 7 days in efforts to disrupt criminal activity.

A joint Police and Customs operation has resulted in the arrest of 24 year old New Zealand resident in Wellington today on a charge of Importing the Class 'C' Controlled drug Ephedrine.

Ephedrine is a pre curser ingredient for Methamphetamine.

Wellington, Oct 17 NZPA - A former Inland Revenue Department (IRD) employee charged with corruption had a further three charges laid against him at Wellington District Court today.
