Wellington, Dec 31 NZPA - Controversial former liquor company boss Douglas Myers, often mistakenly knighted by the news media, is made a Knight Companion of the Order of New Zealand for services to business and the community in New Year Honours announced today.

New Zealand Business Roundtable chairman Rob McLeod today congratulated former Business Roundtable chairman Sir Douglas Myers on being made Knight Companion of the Order of New Zealand for services to business and the community.

The final report by the Capital Market Development Taskforce was launched today, containing a comprehensive package of recommendations to address major challenges in our markets.
