NZ’s First Kiwi Owned VOD Store Launches Kiwi owned video on demand store Good TV launches today selling pay per view movies and TV shows.

"It’s time someone took a responsible approach to how kids interact with media," says co- founder Nick Hitchins. "We’ve created a service which is about empowering choice, giving kids and adults something good to watch.

"We have a team of people around the country who view every movie and TV show before it goes online. These people tap on an app as they watch, and our unique algorithm creates the Good TV Insights Panel. This new technology creates trust with parents. We do all the work so that children only see content that their caregivers think is age appropriate."

Unlike most other streaming services, the kiwi start-up requires no subscriptions or commitment, and has access to movies before subscription based services. "We’ve made it easier for people to find something they want to watch," says Nick Hitchins. "Our library is constantly growing with fabulous films that we don’t ordinarily get to see in New Zealand. While other services take everything, we’re about quality content. People don’t have to search for ages to find something worth watching here.

"We’ll soon have the latest blockbusters just after their theatrical release, as well as classic libraries of films that are getting harder to find with the demise of the DVD. There’s something interesting for everyone on Good TV." "The Insights Panel beside every movie and TV show on the site gives users a much more comprehensive analysis of what to expect than the censor’s rating provides." "It avoids those ‘reach for the remote, the kids shouldn’t be seeing this’ awkward moments."
