Hamilton City Council’s annual K9 Christmas event is happening on Sunday 2 December from 9am to noon at Innes Common beside Hamilton Lake.

As well as providing an opportunity for dog lovers and their pets to strut their stuff, the event gives the Council’s Animal Control team a chance to showcase their dogs available for adoption.

There’s a $5 cash charge to get dogs photographed with Santa, with proceeds going towards Animal Control and the adoption programme.

There will also be agility shows and spot prizes (such as for fluffiest, smallest, biggest, happiest, grumpiest looking dogs).

K9 Christmas is for families with dogs, individuals dog owners and dog lovers generally.

All dogs must be on a lead.
