Are you a good witch or a bad bish? Nine local dragsters, capably conducted by Clever Hansel, are giving you all of the yellow bricked goodies at Dorothy’s Drag show: a Wizard of Oz Spectacular, on at the Grand on April 27.

Brought to you by Hugo Grrrl’s Gigs, this drag concept show will be filled to the brim with jaw-dropping talent and homages to iconic L. Frank Baum characters. You’ll be Elphaba with envy.

George Fowler is the man behind the curtain of the beloved drag character, Hugo Grrrl. George will be gracing the Grand stage as a munchkin, alongside a host of other talented local performers.

Kelly Fornia will be the fiercest Dorothy ever, Rachel Rouge is the femme Wizard of your dreams, Harlie Lux as pinup Glinda perfection, Hariel will be ditching her trademark red for glorious Elphaba green; Pamela Hancock will bring you Aunty Em realness; Haus of Sin is serving Scarecrow, Tinman and Cowardly Lion for your nerve; and our magical master of ceremonies is Clever Hansel.

George says Dorothy’s Drag Show: a Wizard of Oz spectacular! is a nod to a classic.

"For generations our community has had a special place in their hearts for Judy and the Wizard of Oz. This is a fun way to do a lil homage but put our own twists and gyrations on it.

"And I’ll be the sweetest little munchkin you’ve ever seen."
