Following the award-winning success of The Dog Show exhibition in 2018, Taupō Museum proudly presents CATalogue, a cat-themed exhibition running from July 6 - August 12.

Described as ‘a cat show for art lovers and an art show for cat lovers,’ the exhibition features cat-themed artworks, sculptures and accessories made from recycled or repurposed materials.

Many of the artists who created works for the Dog Show exhibition have taken on the cat challenge and new artists include children from the local brownies and girl guides group and contributions from as far away as the South Island will be displayed at the exhibition.

There will be cats created from all sorts of recycled materials from forks, rusty junk, glass, plastic bottles, and even an old pair of leg warmers.

The CATalogue exhibition coincides with the release of local author and illustrator, Donovan Bixley’s seventh Flying Furballs book "Breakout". The Niven Room will display Flying Furballs original drawings, sketches and concept journals.

Donovan along with Paper Plus, will be launching the new book on Friday July 12 at 11am at the museum.
