Adam Lambert - Brings His Glam Nation Tour To New Zealand

Hot off the tail-end of his US tour, glam-pop revivalist, Adam Lambert, is making an anticipated visit to New Zealand with a full-tilt show resplendent with glitter, leather and melodrama at Trusts Stadium on Sunday 17th October in Auckland.

Since the announcement of Lambert's string of Australian shows only weeks ago, the response from our New Zealand league of Glamberts has been overwhelming. So much so that when the majority of tickets for shows were snapped up during the pre-sales for the Australian shows, conversations immediately began between promoters and management about what arrangements could be made to reach out to more fans.

Lambert's trajectory to stardom began less than two short years ago when he reached runner up in the eighth season of American Idol.

Proving that the winner does not necessarily take it all, he has gone on to blaze the trail for left-of-centre performers the world over with his neo-glam irreverence and vocal virtuosity, receiving far more attention than his castmates during the months following the conclusion of the series.

Audiences can expect to see an audio-visual spectacular, both theatrical and atmospheric, when Lambert takes the stage with his playful melodrama conjuring up nods to Sixties psychadelia, Seventies disco and Eighties glam-goth. With a voice that has the falsetto extension and flamboyance of Freddie Mercury and the neon-bright stage presence of the Scissor Sisters, this newly minted pop star is set to be a swooping phenomenon.

Adam's debut album For Your Entertainment (Sony Music) was released in New Zealand last November and is now approaching double platinum sales. To date the album has spawned three massive singles - the Top 5 platinum hit 'Whataya Want From Me' and the two Top 10 gold singles 'For Your Entertainment' and 'If I Had You'. Next up is a new radio single 'Fever', and the October 4th release of a limited Tour Edition of the album which features a bonus DVD of live performances and music videos. T

You are in for a treat. I've been fortunate to attend one of his concerts (ok, 7 of them). The concert is energetic and his vocals are amazing live. He is one of those extremely rare performers whose vocals live are even better than the studio recording. His band has more of a rock flavor to them and are very talented. The costumes and dancers are fantastic too. You'll love it

Adam entertained a crowd of

Adam entertained a crowd of 50,000 people in St. Jean, Quebec, Canada. Check it out on you tube. He was simply "on fire". He had a huge outdoor stage and catwalk to take him right into the audience. After seeing a few concerts I have seen the band and dance members evolve. Each one is unique so talented. Get ready for the "Adam/Tommy interaction" because Adam will surprise you with every show. Expect the unexpected. He is the ultimate entertainer and he can "kill" a rock song. He is beautiful, sexy and has a powerhouse set of vocal chords!!!

Woooooo Hoooooo!!!!!!! I'm so freakin happy I could cry!! After watching all his concert performances on You Tube & wishing that I could be there, this is like a dream come true! Adam has many fans in NZ & his FYE album went platinum here awhile back. This is the best news that us fans have had all year!

Adam Lambert is a superstar,

Adam Lambert is a superstar, America has not acknowledged the fact or simply refused to accept it at a face value due to the music indusry's puritans have dificulties dealing with gay artist, their homophobic ways are so old and tired. Adam Lambert is so successful outside america and yet at home he has to fight an uphill battle. So sad,Radio stations play all boring songs over and over but don't play Adam Lambert's songs eventhogh they are far more superior quality and so exciting. May be some day radio DJs will realise and play the songs that people actually want to listen.

O.K. I don't know what's

O.K. I don't know what's wrong with some U.S. radio stations and by the way, British stations, but in Canada no one can knock his video out of first place and his cd is platinum. He is already a superstar here. Get ready, he and his band and dancers will "kill" you with an amazing performance. Oh yeah, prepare yourself for some pretty hot moves between Adam and Tommy!!!!!

OH MY GOD. One of my friends

OH MY GOD. One of my friends just called me about five minutes ago to tell me... fuck, you should have heard my scream. I CAN NOT WAIT XD

Wow, Congrats to Adam for

Wow, Congrats to Adam for his international success, he is simply phenomenal. He has many, many, truely loyal, devoted US fans of which I am one, but obviously the US is also filled with conservatives who won't open their minds, their eyes and ears to really see and hear this iconic rising star....their loss I guess.
But please know Adam, that there are many home boys and girls that love, love, love you too. New Zealand, you are in for the musical treat of your lifetime!

WOW. Congrats to Adam on

WOW. Congrats to Adam on all the international success. Simon sure called this one. Australia is changing venues to larger ones because of the demand. I think the US is catching on. If I Had YOu is doing great on the radio now. Up to #18 on the airplay chart and hopefully will climb higher just as Whattaya Want From Me did. Fever is being released as the next single in New Zealand. Hopefully Sleepwalker will be released in the US. Go ADAM!!!!!!

Adam is living his dream and

Adam is living his dream and has given his soon-to-be millions of worldwide fans an exciting, super-talented and uber sexy night of their lives at his concerts. I am jealous that NZ will get a new single release of Fever from his debut DCD.

I'm going but I think the

I'm going but I think the promotors are overestimating his popularity here with those expensive ticket prices. I'll be happy to be proven wrong though :)

OK I MAKE A PLEA TO ALL WHO

OK I MAKE A PLEA TO ALL WHO WILL LISTEN!!! PLEASE join me in a mission to GET ADAM LAMBERTS MUSIC RELEASED....There are so many incredible songs on his CD that will be VAULTED if US, THE FANS DO NOT GET VOCAL AND DEMAND THE RELEASE OF HIS SONGS...Fever, Aftermath, Soaked, Sleepwalker, VOODOO, and many more are NOT GOING TO BE RELEASED ACCORDING TO ADAM HIMSELF!!
This can not happen, while the radio stations play on ROTATION EVERY HOUR, the junk that is out there...
We all have a voice and POWER IN NUMBERS...SO JOIN FORCES FOR ADAM!!
He works so hard for us and shows how much we mean to him, now let's show him love back
