Bring the kids to Omana Regional Park on Sunday 14 March for a day of free family fun!
Organised by the Auckland Regional Council, Omana Children's Day is family event with something for everyone. There will be a magician, clowns, entertainment, horse and carriage rides, a petting zoo, face painting and much more!
Omana Regional Park ranger Mags Ramsey says Omana Children's Day is a great opportunity for city kids to enjoy country life for a day.
"There will be lots of friendly farm animals to meet, tractor-trailer rides, sheep shearing and some good old fashioned games including horse shoe and sponge throwing."
For the bigger kids, Manukau on the Move will be there with their BMX obstacle course, and the always popular scout village includes a rope bridge and water slide (bring a towel!). This year's programme also includes a kid's talent show - come along and see the unique talents of young people from the Beachlands and Maraetai area.
Parking and entry is free, as are most activities. Some games and rides cost a few dollars and there is no Eftpos available so bring along some cash. There will be food stalls on site, or families can bring a picnic and find a shady tree to settle under for lunch.
