In celebration of the release of his acclaimed new album 'Please Turn Me Into The Snat', Connan Mockasin kicks off his NZ album release tour this Saturday 13th March in Wellington at the San Francisco Bathouse in Wellington!

Connan will be joined by an ultra talented band that includes Liam Finn, Sam Eastgate from top UK electro pop act Late of the Pier, Elroy Finn and Will Ricketts from The Phoenix Foundation.

In Wellington he will be supported by Seth Frightening and Tin Soldiers. (see other NZ supports below).

Other shows on his album release tour include Auckland's 'Montecristo Room' (Sat 27/3), 'Als Bar' Christchurch (Thurs 18/3), and the 'Chicks Hotel' Dunedin (Fri 19/3).

Connan Mockasins much anticipated debut album 'Please Turn Me Into The Snat' is now available in New Zealand and has already received rave reviews in 'The Listener, The NZ Herald, Radio NZ and many more to come

The standout album artwork and name has also been generating attention, and has even managing to inspire a mannequin display at the Cuba Street shop Mandatory, in Wellington.

The new album introduces the listener to the amazing world of Connan Mockasin - from cats with larger-than-life personalities, unicorns in uniform, to alter egos such as Don Dicaprio. It was written and recorded over 18-months, in East Sussex, UK and an abandoned haunted house in Wellington. (Get the album here now)

Following the success of the two singles 'Megumi The Milkyway Above' and 'Its Choade My Dear', Connan will perform tracks from his new album on this very special NZ tour.

Since relocating to the UK from his New Zealand over three years ago, Connan Mockasin has charmed audiences everywhere; from Hyde Park (where he played alongside the White Stripes) and Green Man Festival (Robert Plant, Joanna Newsom) to London's legendary Durr club, where he remains the only artist to have been invited back three times. He has collaborated with Fatboy Slim on a track for the DJ/producer's new album Brighton Port Authority, which also includes contributions from David Byrne and Iggy Pop.
