Have you ever wanted to be a DJ?  Here's your chance to do it online now at

I recently discovered this wonderful website through twitter. It has a very similar interface of sending text and incorporates this with sending music links. There is a comprehensive music database with links to artists worldwide.

The beauty of blipfm is that it gives you the chance to DJ. To meet other music enthusiasts and hear what they are listening to. All you need is an email account, speakers and a steady internet connection. (DSL Broadband)

How it works is that you post messages and music to an audience and meet friends through the public community. Then you can choose who gets to listen to your selections and give props to people who you think are being a good DJ.  The site can be linked into twitter and audio scrobblers so that you post to a larger network if you like. There is also an embed option to post to other websites too.

If you are bored with the radio or your own music collection then this is perfect for you. The chance to preview new/old music from the comfort of your own home is fantastic. This makes buying music a lot more easier and getting familiar with a lot more bands very simple.

So get yourself a groovy avatar (picture) and sign up to start being a DJ. Then spin whatever you can find to make that playlist you've always dreamed of.
