"Filler is brilliant... warm, life-affirming, funny and affecting." - Sydney Morning Herald.
"Deb Filler is a hilariously funny woman, a kind of Kiwi Ruby Wax mixed with Tracy Ullman... and a sprinkling of Nigella Lawson... Deb Filler's warm personality totally shines through. Do NOT miss her wherever she is performing." - The Times, London.
Deb Filler has a new stand-up show choc-full of stories, jokes, tall tales and true. A bust-your-gutkes comedy with music and laughs, from consummate entertainer and character actress extraordinaire, New Zealand's only Jewish comic, Deb Filler.
The Kiwi-born actor, writer and comedian has performed internationally from London to New York, Montreal to Maine. Her theatre regularly runs sell-out performances around the world, eliciting rave reviews, and now she's back home with a show about life on the road and how to stay grateful. An Evening With Deb Filler will be playing in Auckland for four nights only at The PumpHouse Theatre in Takapuna.
A nominee of the prestigious US Helen Hayes Theatre Award, Deb has laid them in the aisles in Edinburgh, London, Toronto, Sydney, Berlin, Washington and New York, among many more. She appeared with Harvey Keitel in an ABC (US) mini-series and her performances at the intimate PumpHouse Theatre will give audiences the chance to be as close to Deb as if they were in her living room. Showcasing her wit and warm heart, this is the only chance to catch her in New Zealand.
