Fletch and Vaughan are saying goodbye to their company car in explosive style this Sunday.
Two-and-a-half kilograms of explosives and 180-200 litres of petrol and diesel mix will blow their trusty company car in to 12 pieces, so it will become unrecognisable.
The Edge Drive hosts for the past two-and-half-years have enjoyed driving around in their branded Escargot.
Like every good employee, Fletch and Vaughan felt they deserved a company car but the boss wasn't just going to gift them one, they had to work for it. So they held a simultaneous sausage sizzle across the country, with the money raised all they could afford was the Escargot.
After 140,000km on the odometer, it is time to say goodbye, so Big Save Furniture and Livewire Productions are helping Fletch and Vaughan say goodbye with a bang.
In preparation all parts of the car have been auctioned off online at trademe.co.nz to help raise money for the explosion or Fletch and Vaughan hope for their new company car.
Spectators are invited to view the explosion from 10.30am this Sunday, June 24 at Ferndene Speedway, Egmont Village in New Plymouth. Fletch, Vaughan and The Edge team will be onsite providing the ear plugs.
