Just a few days left until some of our finest native musicians take to the stage in Hamilton in support of another fine native, the Hochstetter Frog.
This 'concert for conservation' is part of the Waikato Times Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival, and features the wicked line up of OPSHOP, Dane Rumble, The Jordan Luck Band and Annabel Fay.
Concert-goers will have the chance to hear a few new tunes from the OPSHOP lads as they have been busy recording a follow up to the award-winning Second Hand Planet. There will be all the favourite hits as well to delight the fans, including Maybe and One Day.
The Hamilton audience will also get a real treat with rising superstar Dane Rumble hitting the stage with all his chart-topping hits. He has barely been out of the Top 10 in recent months as his first 3 singles went gold, Dane Rumble is seriously hot right now!
With the legendary Jordan Luck Band and 'name to watch' Annabel Fay completing this line up, we can safely say that this will be one of the best gigs you'll see this summer. The concert will also be supporting a fantastic conservation project at Hamilton Zoo, helping to save the vulnerable native Hochstetter's Frog. Funds raised will go towards the building of a new enclosure for the frogs and assist with the zoo's captive breeding and research programme. Pack a picnic or grab some tasty treats on site, as a range of food options will be available. The concert is strictly no BYO alcohol as a range of Yealands Estate Wines will be available for purchase at the bar, along with beers and soft drinks. This evening will be a great opportunity to bring the family, enjoy some top NZ music and know that you are doing your bit to help a great local conservation project! Tickets on sale now* and Gate Sales* will be available - booking fee applies.
