David Cronenberg is one of those few directors that you can just say his name and it makes people instantly have their minds skewed about what his next film will be like. Not about, but like. As he tends to have a very unique vision in his films, and almost always deals with dark or complicated psychological issues. This of course is far from a bad thing, but you do sometimes have to mentally prepare yourself for what could be a hard watch when seeing his films.
His latest film 'A Dangerous Method' was about Michael Fassbenders Jung vs Viggo Mortensens Freud, with a slightly annoying Keira Knightly thrown in for good measure. It was a very insightful look into the beginnings of psychoanalysis and was dealt with delicately and superbly by Cronenberg. It was a good watch, but easily not for everyone!
