No matter how you look at it, the shooting in Colorado will, and has, not only put a dampener on peoples excitement about the release of this film, but will bring up many questions about the connection between violence and films. But, that’s for another time and place.

“Eight years on, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham's finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.”

It's hard critiquing a film that's the end of a series of films, so has the burden of tying up so many loose ends. I'm also loath to put any negativity on a film that kept me glued to the screen unblinkingly for nigh on 3 hours. So all I'll say is I bloody loved 'The Dark Knight Rises', and fits nicely as my second favourite in the series behind 'The Joker'...I mean 'The Dark Knight'. It had the best ending they could have possibly aimed for, as it was perfect, an even brought a tear to my eye.
