Being a massive '2000AD' fan, means I'm basically a default Judge Dredd fan, with him 3rd on my list of fave story lines behind Rouge Trooper and ABC Warriors. So I was of course really looking forward to the new film 'Dredd', and to be honest, even though I haven’t seen it since it first came out, I didn’t exactly hate the original 1995 film version, but I also knew it wasn’t even close to what it could have been. But this new version looked like it could be what a ‘Dredd’ film should be.

“In a violent, futuristic city where the police have the authority to act as judge, jury and executioner, a cop teams with a trainee to take down a gang that deals the reality-altering drug, SLO-MO.”

Well, I'm fucking pleased to say it delivered! In fact of the films I've been looking forward to most recently, this has been the only one that didn't even slightly disappoint. It won't be for everyone, but if you're a '2000AD' fan then you should love this!
