As a film lover, film reviewer, and general level 6 cinefile, I tend to watch a lot of trailers for upcoming films. So when I mix that obsessive amount of trailer watching with my many press screening invites, where 90% of the time I only know the name of the film when I walk into see it, I often find myself within the first 5 minutes having those realisation moments when I figure out I’ve watched the trailer for this film, which sometimes can be a good thing, and sometimes bad.
“The truth of how Mortimer Granville devised the invention of the first vibrator in the name of medical science.”
Well, 'Hysteria' was about the invention of the vibrator in Victorian England in the 1880s, and despite how 'boring' or 'interesting' that sounds to you, reassured it was fricken hilarious! One might even say hysterically hilarious! But don't, because that would be lame. Brilliantly acted, cleverly written, and an all-round crowd pleaser!
