I missed lots of great films at this year’s New Zealand International Film Festival, but thankfully I get invited to press screenings for those films when they get general releases. So when I got my invite for ‘On The Road’, which I had hoped to see at the festival, I was quick to accept.

“Dean and Sal are the portrait of the Beat Generation. Their search for "It" results in a fast paced, energetic roller coaster ride with highs and lows throughout the U.S.”

'On The Road' was...umm...wait, let me start again. 'On The Road' was...umm...actually; fuck knows what that film was about! It's not that I hated it, it's just I still don't really know what it was. What it was on the surface was a movie with lots of cameos from great actors, a meandering story filled with confusing plot points, and really an excuse for Kristen Stewart to get her tits out in an effort to prove she's a 'real' actress. All up it had 'something' there, I just don't know what 'that' is.
