Movie Review – Skyfall

'Skyfall', though not my favourite Bond film, as that still goes to the near perfect 'Casino Royale' from 1967...just kidding, I mean the 2006 version. But, what makes 'Skyfall' stand out from any other Bond film I've seen is that it's not like any other Bond film before it. It had real characters and real depth to the story, and gave itself as much time and space needed to breathe and take shape.

“Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”

A couple of extra layers were pulled away from M, and at least a dozen or so from Bond, made them suddenly seem to inhabit my consciousness more than ever, especially with M. Yes I figured out the two 'twists' before they happened, but despite that, the way they brought about the old-to-new-to-old again style was fricken genius! It was amazingly refreshing 23 films down the track, and still 'relevant' as ever.

A From me!!!
