Jackass 3

Still to this day, my best ever experience watching a movie at the cinema was seeing the first ‘Jackass’ movie at a packed Civic, with nearly 1,000 people, during the film festival that year. This was before the TV show had even hit our shores, and the only really exposure the audience had to it was from a few videos posted on the internet, this being before YouTube, of course, so I’d say most of us only had a rough idea of what to expect. By the end of the film we had all spent the whole time cheering, yelling and crying ourselves silly and, as stated, there has never been anything like that since. So to say I’m a ‘Jackass’ fan is an understatement and I was looking forward to the third movie in the series in a big way!

“Johnny Knoxville and company return for the third instalment of their TV show spin-off, where dangerous stunts and explicit public displays rule. Jackass 3D is a 3D film and the third movie in the Jackass series. The movie marked the 10th anniversary of the franchise, which started in 2000.”

With the use of 3D in the film, and also the ‘Phantom’ camera, which allows for amazing slow motion photography, it took this film to the next level. I’m very much over the whole 3D craze and only a few select films deserve the treatment, and then only if done right, and after seeing this film I believe this is what the technology was made for! With the cast of characters now well defined in the audience’s mind they seemed to really enjoy the experience of this film which came through in the pranks that were being pulled. Like the others in the series it left you wanting even more and it sits firmly in place as just as good as the others.

9.5 out of 10 from me.
