Wellington, Jan 18 NZPA - New Zealand actress Anna Paquin could have more trophies for her mantelpiece when the 67th Golden Globe awards are announced later today.
Paquin was nominated for two awards, including Best Actress for her role as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO vampire drama True Blood -- which she won the Globe for last year.
She was also nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Made for Television, for The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler.
The TV-movie told the story of Polish social worker Sendler, who smuggled nearly 2500 Jewish children out of the Warsaw Ghetto during World War 2.
True Blood was also nominated for Best Television Series (Drama).
Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones received a single nod, with Stanley Tucci nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
James Cameron's Avatar, filmed in New Zealand with special effects by Weta Digital, received four nominations, including for Best Motion Picture.
The awards would begin at 5pm Pacific Standard Time (2pm NZT).
