Party 'All Night Long (All Night)' With Lionel Richie At The 2009 Mission Estate Winery Concert

13 NOVEMBER 2008 - Iconic performer Lionel Richie has today been confirmed as the headline act for the 2009 Mission Estate Winery Concert.

Richie's success story over nearly 30 years is the stuff of legend and one few artists can match: he's sold over 100 million albums; he's won countless awards including an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a staggering five Grammy Awards and the Crystal Award for Humanitarianism; he's written some of the best known and loved songs in pop history and continues to sell-out stadium and arena shows all over the world. Mission Concert fans will be treated to Lionel's incredible back catalogue - from the classics of his solo career such as "Hello", "Dancing on The Ceiling," and "Endless Love" to the mega-hits of his Commodore days, like "Easy," "Brickhouse" and "Three Times a Lady". In addition to his long list of hits fans will also get to experience first hand songs from Lionel Richie's ninth studio album 'Just Go' which will be released early 2009.

Peter Holley, CEO of Mission Estate Winery says having Mr Richie confirmed to perform is very exciting for the winery.

The 2009 Mission Estate Winery Concert will be held on Saturday 28 February 2009. Tickets are on sale now through the Mission Concert website; Ticketek outlets and The Napier Municipal Theatre.

Since the inaugural concert in 1993, the Mission Estate Winery Concert has become a landmark occasion on the New Zealand events calendar; and has hosted renowned international acts such as Rod Stewart, the Beach Boys, Shirley Bassey, The Doobie Brothers, The B52's, Kenny Rodgers, Sir Cliff Richard, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton and Tom Jones.
