MONARCHY
Documentary Series
Every year, the Royal Family perform around 4,000 official engagements between them and meet hundreds of thousands of people. But it's not all ribbon-cutting and plaque-unveiling. Months - even years - of careful preparation go into these events and The Queen keeps an eye on it all.
In the case of a Palace garden party, every single invitation must be written out by hand and treble-checked by the team of 'Garden Party Ladies', a meticulous part-time workforce based at Buckingham Palace. Given that up to 40,000 people are invited to garden parties in London and Edinburgh every year, the ladies are busy for months. See the results of their efforts as people from all over Britain and the world descend on the Palace lawns.

When Sarah first meets twins Natasha and Loretta, and Loretta's husband David, they are banking every single penny on splitting a three-storey end of terrace house in Brentford, Middlesex into two flats. Sarah persuades them to shelve their plans and create two small cottages instead. But will this be enough to save their bacon in a dramatically falling market?
Meanwhile in Newport, South Wales, Sean and Nicola Horler hope to squeeze even more flats out of their terraced house but Sarah thinks they should spread their risk by creating a three-bed maisonette and flat instead.
