TVNZ U is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an up-and-coming Kiwi musician to have their song professionally recorded, produced and played on U for the next 12 months, thanks to the KIT KAT team.

Up-and-coming artists have the chance to make some real noise simply by going to u.co.nz/tune and uploading their unsigned tune between now and Friday 31 August.

From a shortlist of finalists, the songs are handed over to the nation to vote for their favourite track. Plus, everyone who votes goes into the draw to win one of fifty prize packs, including a music voucher, KIT KAT goodies and U merchandise.

Oliver Sealy, U channel manager says, "U is designed for the world that young New Zealanders live in today. From U live, where our audience have their Facebook comments broadcast live on air; to U host, where viewers host Sunday nights on the channel; to U say (launching tonight on the new U app), where people join the chat about our Wednesday night shows - and now, with tune - we give our audience the opportunity to choose the music they hear on the channel."

The ordinary need not apply as the winning song will be played all over U for the next 12 months. Not only that, but the rising star will appear live on U live and receive loads of goodies, including a Nestle hamper, music voucher, and U merchandise.
