Thames to be first up in popular teen author's speaking engagements

Teenage author, international speaker and certified coach, Eva-Maria is to begin her District-wide appearances in Thames as guest speaker during May's Youth Week celebrations.

The 19-year-old is the author of the world's first parenting book written by a teenager, provocatively titled "You Shut Up!" and her dream is to bridge the gap of misunderstanding between teenagers and adults around the globe.

As part of Thames' Youth Week celebrations, Thames-Coromandel District Libraries and volunteer group Friends of the Library are hosting a free speaking event with the Russian-born, Wellington-based teen at the Thames Civic Centre on Monday 24 May.

Eva-Maria will also be speaking in Paeroa and Waihi later in the week.

Local TV viewers may also remember Eva-Maria from the weekly Youth Panel of TVNZ's Good Morning in the first half of last year. Eva-Maria is also the youngest certified Life & Family Coach and has been awarded Most Inspirational Role Model at the Her Business Awards. She was also recently appointed President of the Wellington Chapter of the National Speakers Association of New Zealand.

Eva-Maria holds a strong presence in the speaking circuit, presenting to groups, businesses and schools, helping young people reach their dreams, helping parents, teachers and youth workers understand and build better relationships with teenagers, and helping businesses with organisational succession, speaking presentations, becoming an author at any age and understanding social networking and marketing.
