A month after the successful launch of theaudience.co.nz, musicians, bands and fans of excellent NZ music can agree that theaudience.co.nz is the hugely important new local music discovery website that they have been waiting for.

Over 50,000 music lovers have visited the audience.co.nz since the launch -streaming music, downloading songs, creating playlists and voting towards the 'Unreleased' chart?which brings us to the exciting announcement.

Theaudience.co.nz is proud to announce Watercolours as the first recipient of the NZ On Air 'Wild Card' Making Tracks grant.

Watercolours is Chelsea Jade Metcalf. Her song "Nightswimmer" was the most popular 'unreleased' track for the month of June on theaudience.co.nz. You can listen to the winning artist and track here:

The NZ On Air 'Wild Card' funding will contribute 10k to the making of a video and further recording of the Watercolours track. Now we are into a new month, it is time to see what unreleased songs artists will contribute to the chart in July.

Throughout the last few weeks we have been listening to feedback and getting suggestions from artists, music businesses and music fans. As a result artists can now load as many unreleased or released tracks as they like onto theaudience.co.nz, but only one track can be considered for the 'Focus' unreleased chart. We are continuing to develop the site and we will be�rolling out improvements and new features over the following weeks and months.
