Technology - The Future Part 2

How will technology help ‘The Mind’? The Mind is so often caught up in daily dramatic experiences and thinking about the past or future in both negative and positive ways. So if we live in a society where our time is freed up from work, and the pressure of money is taken off us, then we can spend more time on other great things in life. As each little problem in today’s current society falls away it will then make the next one easier to deal with, until the day we will find ourselves with not a care in the world and our minds will truly be at peace. This will, of course, still be something we have to work at as it won’t fix itself, but with the advancement of technology it will surely help with the balancing of ‘The Mind’.

It is very obvious how ‘The Body’ will be affected with the advancement of technology and society. Better grown food will mean healthier food for us to eat. Cleaner fresher water will mean better hydration for our bodies. More free time to enjoy life will mean more time to be outside and experiencing the world. Improved health care will of course lead to healthier bodies and if they do ever go through any form of sickness or injury they should heal pretty quickly. The advancement of technology should be a dramatic factor in how we look after our bodies, which of course will help lead us to a better way of life.  If we start living amazing long healthy lives then just imagine how much more we could do in this world.

‘The Soul’ is something people could argue can’t be affected by technology, but I would argue it’s the effects of technology on our day to day lives that will lead to the advancement of our souls. More time on our hands will mean more time to spend on ourselves and our inner soul, from reading books, to spending more time with loved ones and other advanced souls. Witnessing more amazing moments in nature and just experiencing the world and universe around us as technology progresses will greatly affect our relationship with our soul and its advancement.

Everything I have said here is still only scratching the surface of what could be possible with the advancement of technology and I feel very privileged to be living in a time when such possibilities are there for us to attain. Whether it happens in our lifetime though is another matter, but it’s not something to get fixated on.  Enjoying our current lives and where we are at the moment, and being an example for the people around us for a better way of living, will maybe be part of the catalyst for the advancing human consciousness that will go hand in hand with the advancement of technology.

In concluding this section on technology I want to leave you with a quote from the great dead comedian Bill Hicks who said “you know all that money we spend on the military ever year - trillions of dollars? Instead, if we use this money to feed and clothe the poor of this world, which it would do many times over, then we can explore space, inner and outer, together, as one race.”
